Bruce Beck served as a Director of Engineering for Eli Lilly and Company. During his 34-year career at Lilly, he had roles in Technical Services, Manufacturing, Environmental Health and Safety, and Engineering. In his last role at Lilly, he led a corporate group responsible for developing the Lilly Commissioning and Qualification program. This group also led the implementation of this program throughout the world for all new Lilly facilities. During this time, he also created the Lilly approach to Construction Quality Assurance (CQA), as well as an extensive project information management (PIM) program used on all new Lilly facility projects.

He has a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Asbury University. He has authored articles on Construction Quality Assurance in magazines such as Pharmaceutical Engineering, The Chemical Engineer Today, and Quality Progress.

Bruce joined Anova in 2015, as a Commissioning Consultant. He enjoys unique challenges that involve different types of facilities or technology such as manufacturing or laboratories projects. Some of his projects with Anova include the Dow AgroSciences Mogi Mirim Insect and Seed Laboratory in Brazil, the Ironworks Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the Community Justice Center for Marion County, Indiana.

Bruce is passionate about helping leaders reach their potential both individually and as a team. He has written and published a book about it, The Essentials of Leadership. Beyond the office and writing, Bruce also enjoys golf, gardening, and traveling.
