Doug Adams
Project Executive

Doug Adams is an executive and leader with over 25 years of experience overseeing all phases of multimillion-dollar construction projects across various industries, including healthcare, commercial, education, manufacturing, residential, and government. He has extensive experience with lump sum, GMP, Design-Build, and public work as both a Construction Manager and Owner’s Representative. He worked for Shiel Sexton for 18 years before moving to Anova in 2023.

As Project Executive at Anova, Doug supports the day-to-day operations of the company and ensures the accountability and direction of his project teams. He is known as a problem solver that can see his way through complex situations and projects with attention to detail and process development for a successful outcome. He has extensive experience acting as a liaison between clients, design teams, and contractors. His leadership focuses on coordinating planning, developing schedules, budgets, and project delivery strategies.

Doug is passionate about continuous improvement, process development, and personal/professional growth, which he integrates into his leadership and mentorship of upcoming construction professionals. He is a strong advocate for lean principles and project delivery including the takt production system.

Throughout his career, Doug has been instrumental in researching, creating, and implementing various tools and strategies to improve project management and delivery. Some of his notable accomplishments include developing a custom Manpower Management tool, creating a coordinated project bidding book, and implementing standard lean planning boards.

Outside of work, Doug enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, photography, bonsai, and all types of fitness activities such as running, weights, mountain biking, and yoga.
