Josh is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. He spent 12 years at Shiel Sexton before joining Anova in 2013, where he sought new challenges and found them in abundance. Over the years, Josh has worked on a diverse range of projects across industries such as Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Pharmaceuticals. His international experience includes managing projects in various cultures, navigating different languages, units of measurement, and varying levels of quality and safety compliance.
As Vice President at Anova, Josh oversees the day-to-day operations of the company and ensures the accountability and direction of his project teams. He has earned a reputation as a strong leader and program manager, acting as a liaison between clients, design teams, and contractors. His leadership focuses on coordinating planning, developing schedules, and budgets, and implementing safety and quality programs. Josh is a firm believer in a process-oriented approach, ensuring that corporate, user, regulatory, and client requirements are met in every aspect of the project.
Though Josh thrives on complex projects, especially in pharmaceuticals, laboratories, and healthcare facilities, he is particularly passionate about helping U.S. clients successfully build facilities in foreign countries, navigating the complexities of different cultures and regulatory environments.
Josh’s leadership style is focused on team building and real-time problem-solving. He’s known for training others to replicate Anova’s successful methodologies, with his motto being “all or none, and it is always ALL.” Regardless of project size or visibility, Josh and his teams maintain the same high standards and commitment to excellence.
Outside of work, Josh enjoys traveling with his family, playing the guitar, and engaging in outdoor sports like mountain biking, kayaking, trout fishing, and camping. He also has a pet Yorkshire Terrier named Kevin, who has become one of the beloved mascots of the company.
